Country Club Plaza - Kansas City, MO

That arrangement was possible when the Country Club Bank of Kansas City completed implementation of the ComCo Systems layout and design of space in the Plaza Branch. An integrated teller center was designed to serve a drive thru incorporating one commercial lane and two retail kiosks, plus a lobby that includes three Retail Lobby Teller Systems, one Commercial Lobby Teller System, and a Customer Service Representative station. The teller center was located in the basement of the building.

By using Lobby Teller Systems, lobby space was conserved for use by Customer Service Representatives and an attractive customer waiting area. Two other Lobby Teller Systems were located in the vestibule for after hours service to customers. These units were also routed to the teller center in the basement.

Two way audio & video between all teller stations and any of the customer kiosks selected help assure a very personal level of communication between the tellers and customers. Fraud is reduced due to better customer identification. Security has proven to be improved. Several times, individuals have entered the bank, simply looked around to assess the situation, and elected to leave. Bank employees felt that the individuals were frustrated and prevented from committing a robbery due to the lack of walk-up tellers.

Customers of the bank have embraced the new design concepts. They appreciate the safety factors of the design as well as the faster service and face to face two way video communications. Bank officials believe the design is the best decision for the Plaza Branch.
